The whole reason I created this program is because I myself struggled with knowing what was best...both for me and my patients (which caused a ton of icky feelings).

When I first started as a clinical pharmacist, I was absolutely certain that I knew how to take care of people. I started noticing how my patients got sicker or heavier overall even when the lab tests were perfect. I began to wonder if I was helping or hurting?

As a pharmacist I feel obliged to remind you that medications are not really targeted at curing disease, but rather reducing noticeable symptoms of that disease. This at least I always knew. Medications tend to hide symptoms even though underneath things are progressing….that is why you always need more medication eventually. In order to prevent medication, you need to address the underlying problem.
